This week’s photo challenge theme both amused and irritated me – all at the same time!
As someone who used to call a major city home, but now lives in a much smaller town, I just have to ask:
What is “Urban” exactly?
Is it a feeling? An attitude? Is it something you have or is it simply a place?
To me, Urban is stiff. It is confining. Urban gives you certain conveniences, but just as many boundaries.
Urban is harsh, and cold. Urban is a sight to behold.
Urban is a heartbeat.
Urban is something I used to take for granted, but at the same time allowed it to get under my skin.
Urban is something I gladly shed from my life.
But I still like to go back to it…every once and a while….

Love the pic!!! It is great….Urban is freedom…and some times is not…

Very nice capture! May look good as a black and white conversion?
Great pic. Everyone in the big city remembers fences like these.
